smooth out the dance, July, 2008.

HEELS - TOES – HEELS-TOES (SWIVELS TO THE RIGHT)

During the swivels, you are moving to the right.

1-2           On the balls of the feet, pivot both heels to the right, then pivot both toes to the right

3-4           On the balls of the feet, pivot both heels to the right, then pivot both toes to the right

 

HITCH LEFT - TOUCH LEFT - HITCH LEFT - TOGETHER LEFT

5-6           Turning the body to the right, raise the left knee up to waist level, touch the left foot next to the right

7-8           Raise the left knee up to waist level, bring the left foot next to the right while straightening the knees

 

HEELS - TOES - HEELS - TOES (SWIVELS TO THE LEFT)

During the swivels, you are moving to the left.

9-10          On the balls of the feet, pivot both heels to the left, then pivot both toes to the left

11-12        On the balls of the feet, pivot both heels to the left, then pivot both toes to the left

 

HITCH RIGHT - TOUCH RIGHT - HITCH RIGHT - TOUCH RIGHT

13-14        Turning the body to the left, raise the right knee up to waist level, touch the right foot next to the left

15-16        Raise the right knee up to waist level, touch the right foot next to the left while straightening the knees

 

JUMP - HOLD/CLAP - JUMP - HOLD/CLAP                                 

17-18        Jump or scoot forward on both feet, hold for one beat of music and clap

19-20        Jump or scoot forward on both feet, hold for one beat of music and clap

 

BENDING KNEES, FORWARD RIGHT - LEFT - RIGHT – TOUCH/CLAP

21-22        Step forward on the right foot while slightly bending the knees, step forward on the left foot while further

                bending the knees

23-24        Step forward on the right foot while slightly straightening the knees, touch left foot next to right and clap

                the hands once while fully straightening the knees

 

SIDE LEFT - SIDE LEFT - CROSS LEFT TOE - LOWER LEFT HEEL

25-26        Touch the left foot out to the left side twice

27-28        Cross the left foot in front of the right foot, touching only the ball of the left foot on the floor and lower

                the left heel to the floor

 

SIDE RIGHT - SIDE RIGHT - CROSS RIGHT TOE - LOWER RIGHT HEEL

29-30        Touch the right foot out to the right side twice

30-31        Cross the right foot in front of the left foot, touching only the ball of the right foot on the floor and lower

                the right heel to the floor

 

PIVOT 1/2 TURN LEFT (UNWIND) WITH 4 HEEL BOUNCES

33             On the balls of the feet, start 1/2 pivot turn to the left (CCW) while bouncing the heels of both feet

34-36        Continue bouncing the heels three more times until 1/2 turn to the left is complete

 

RIGHT SHUFFLE FORWARD - LEFT SHUFFLE FORWARD

37-38        Shuffle forward, right-left-right

39-40        Shuffle forward, left-right-left

 

STEP 1/4 PIVOTS TO THE LEFT WITH CLAPS, STARTING WITH RIGHT FOOT (THREE TIMES) – STOMPS

41-42        Step forward on right foot, 1/4 pivot to the left and clap once

43-44        Step forward on right foot, 1/4 pivot to the left and clap once

44-46        Step forward on right foot, 1/4 pivot to the left and clap once

47-48        Stomp right foot, stomp left foot
