JUNE 25, 2007

On May 24, 2007 my husband was playing golf.  He continued to do so for the next week.  Then one day his back hurt so bad he could not play.  Went to the doctor.  Needless to say, they did a PH level on his blood, cancer.  At first we thought it was kidney cancer, later we found out it was bladder cancer, that went into his kidney.  There were two spots on his liver, one spot on the side of his head, one spot on his stomach, one on his side.  His back was still sore and nobody found it, until we went to a specialist.  Cancer spot on his spine.  Needless to say, this was very upsetting as 10 days ago he was playing golf.  Now he uses a wheel chair as his back is so sore, and the fluid in building in his body due to the pressure on his back.   Just came back to today from MRI and bone scan.  Hospital phoned, admitted Ace, put him on steroids, and he is being flown to Edmonton for radiation, 10 hits, then back to Grande Prairie for chemo.  I guess the biggest problem is we live 300 miles from Edmonton, no kids at home, just Ace and I.  No family, just friends.  We have a small horse ranch, with an indoor facility and 2 students that live here and ride horses.  I am teaching them to get there Equine Canada Coaching.

We have numerous animals, and so much to be done before I can go to Edmonton, I need responsible people here.  On Saturday I have an older woman coming to maintain the house, and watch the students, and am arranging for another coach to come and teach, and another former student to come back, and work the young horses.  I am being made to feel, but what do I do, we have a very large amount of animals and barns, house, and arena facilities.  I just can't walk out, and let everything take care of its self.  There would be nothing left for us to come back to........  Need response....??????  See I am losing my mind.  Ace has bladder cancer, so all those spots are bladder cancer, and this one is treatable with radiation and chemo.  Does anyone else, feel like they have just been pooped all over?????????
